FPC Eufaula is a community of faith seeking to know Christ and make Christ known. Grounded in love for all God's children, we seek to do justice, to love kindness, and walk humbly with our God. We are an open and inclusive congregation who will show God's love to all and care for all God's people.
Our church was established in 1836, making it one of the oldest congregations in the region. From its early days, the church has been a cornerstone of faith and community in Eufaula, weathering the trials of war, change, and growth. Its historic sanctuary, completed in the mid-19th century, remains a cherished symbol of enduring worship and service. For generations, First Presbyterian has sought to know Christ and make Christ known in the heart of Alabama.
FPC Eufaula is a member of the Presbyterian Church (USA) and the Presbytery of Sheppards and Lapsley.
The Presbyterian Church (USA) calls in our Book of Order that "a congregation shall welcome all persons who trust in God’s grace in Jesus Christ and desire to become part of the fellowship and ministry of his Church." Furthermore, we are called also not discriminate for any reason. In other words, everyone is welcome and accepted here.

Our congregation has been worshiping and serving in Eufaula since 1836, and we are committed to seeking to know Christ and to make Christ known. We invite you to join us in worship, fellowship, and service as we grow together in faith. Th ere's a place for you here. Welcome home!

In the fall of 2024, First Presbyterian's music department embarked on a new ministry that would enhance our department by employing staff singers from Columbus State University. Through a Trust, created by Mr. Van Smith and in his wife, Betty's honor, this Christian Mission and Worship Trust, along with the generosity of our congregation, allows us to employ three staff singers for solos, duets, trios, and to participate in our Chancel Choir. Our church is fortunate to have Jake, Tabetha and Hailey worshiping with us. Contributions towards this ministry may be made to the church office with the designation "Choir Collegiate Scholars Program".
